YOUR SKIN IS AN INVESTMENT, NOT AN EXPENSE

Just in case you needed an extra nudge to purchase that expensive face mask (no not those ones), here it is. Yes, sometimes you can find a good product from a high street brand which works wonders for your skin. But sometimes the fancy stuff really does make a difference to your skin and sometimes, it's just nice to give yourself a luxury pamper session at-home. Let's face it, salons aren't reopening until December at least and we need to give our skin that extra TLC in preparation for when we do go back...

Update on Institut Esthederm's E.V.E Serum | Skincare

Image: Feel Unique

I've been using the Institut Esthederm E.V.E Serum for over two months now, I thought it's about time to give you all an update on my skin and my thoughts about the product.

If you read my blog post here you'll know I only purchased this after watching Huda Beauty's video (I'm so easy right?) and introducing microneedling to my skincare routine (a total game changer by the way!). If you have no idea what the product is and does, I definitely recommend you catch up with my first post before you continue reading this post...

I Bought This Serum After Watching Huda Beauty's YouTube Video

If you read my blog post on microneedling, you would have saw I mentioned a new skincare product I'll be adding to my skincare routine alongside microneedling. That is the Institut Esthederm E.V.E (Essential Vital Elements) Serum.

I was watching Huda Beauty's YouTube video on 'How to get rid of acne scars' where she mentioned the Institut Esthederm E.V.E Serum and called it the 'best thing I have ever tried'. I was sold at that moment. Yup, that's all it took.

Anyway... so why did she call it the best thing she has ever used?

I Tried Microneedling | Skincare

Having watched Huda Beauty's YouTube videos, I knew a little bit about microneedling but not as much as I know now after getting my hands on the BeautyLab Titanium Microneedle Roller*

So what is a microneedle roller?

A microneedle roller is also known as a 'dermaroller'. It's a facial tool with lots of titanium needles (0.3mm).

What does it do?

The longer the needles, the more effect it's going to have. There are different types of needle lengths available, I have the 0.3mm which is safe to use at-home however professionals would use a needle up to 1.5mm because they are qualified to do so without damaging your skin.

5 Fruits To Improve Your Skin | Skincare

Image Credit: Tastes Better Than Scratch

When it comes to skincare I am no expert however I have learnt things about my skin along the way of dealing with mild acne. For me, diet plays a very important role in my skincare routine. Products do offer added benefits to my skin however, I have found what I eat and drink benefits my skin a lot more.

During 'quarantine' season, it's extremely difficult to eat clean and not raid the snack cupboard. I'm not going to lie, the snack cupboard is my favourite kitchen cupboard and I treat myself a lot more than I should especially during that time of the month. However, you need to have a good balance and really try your hardest in order to come out glowing for summer, autumn, winter, next year? Who knows.

Here are some of the fruits I've been eating and why you should add them to your shopping list...

How to Help Dry Hands?

Dry hands? Join the club. Excessive hand washing with anti-bacterial hand wash and using hand sanitizer on the go has really taken its toll on my skin. When it comes to moisturising, I must confess I'm not that good at it, but it's about time...

Things I Did to Help My Skin | Skincare

Two years ago my skin was very different to how it is today. I was constantly breaking out in awful red spots all on my cheeks and chin area, one spot would go and another would form. I have to admit my skincare routine was non existent and my diet could have been a lot better, but these are all things you learn on the way.

On the left is how my skin looked during my prescribed treatment and on the right is how my skin looked after. A lot more clearer, a few scars from acne but nothing major.  So here are all the steps I took in order to change my skin...

Pixi Glow Tonic | Review

I've been testing the infamous Pixi Skin Treats Glow Tonic* for almost 3 weeks now and I'm going to be honest I'm still in two minds about this product

Charlotte’s Magic Cream | Review

Charlotte’s Magic Cream is bloody expensive, there’s no denying it. Is it really worth it though?

The Best Sheet Mask Ever? | Charlotte Tilbury

If you’ve been reading my blog or follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I absolutely love sheet masks. One particular sheet mask I am forever using is the Instant Magic Facial Sheet Mask by Charlotte Tilbury...

Glam Glow Bubble Sheet Mask | Review

I absolutely love sheet masks and am forever trying new ones all the time. I tend to use a sheet mask once a week and incorporate it in my skincare routine as I think our skin always needs a deep clean every now and then.

I recently tried the Glam Glow Bubble Sheet Mask  which was actually a freebie I received with an order I placed, but is available from Boots for £6 if you'd like to try it out...

How I'm Stopping Breakouts | L'Oreal Paris

A stranger could literally touch my face and I would break out the next day! Yup. For some reason after 25 I literally would break out like there's no tomorrow. I wouldn't say it was like severe acne or anything like that, but let's just say it's very sensitive and especially to the food I consume...

The Facial Everyone's Talking About | Environ

When it comes to facials and skincare, I’m not the greatest as I’ve only ever had (now) 2 facials in my lifetime, and have a very basic skin regime. I’ve been eating a lot cleaner than ever before and working out 3 times a week, so I decided it was time to start looking after my skin more! During my teenage years I was really lucky and never really suffered from spots or acne, however last year I suffered a real breakout on my cheeks which caused scarring. It was a trial & error process, but I eventually found a herbal face wash & cream which helped get rid of any new spots, however the damage from the previous spots were still there!  After a lot of research on the different types of facials available (and trust me there are so many) I came across the Environ Facial. Environ is a globally recognised professional skincare brand which specialises in products which contain the vitamins your skin needs, most importantly Vitamin A which is the key ingredient to help blemishes, acne and scars. So after booking an appointment, yesterday I attended my Eviron Purifying Facial at the Luxurious Beauty Boutique which is located in Woodford, Essex

Glam Glow | Review

This is probably the best skincare product I have ever used to date. I've seen a lot of bloggers/celebrities rave about Glam Glow products but could never justify spending over £40 for a small pot of face mask. However after buying the sample size from Sephora, after just one use I could really feel and see the difference and ended up buying the full size...and it's sister. Now this really sounds like one of those Proactive Skincare adverts but I honestly  saw results after just one use...

The black pot is the Glam Glow Youth Mud and the white pot is the Glam Glow Super Mud. Who knew there could be so many different types of mud, especially a mud that costs more than my foundation =P

What does it do?

Glam Glow Youth Mud is basically your all rounder mask as it does the following:

- Brightens skin
- Exfoliates
- Penetrates into the deepest layers of the skin to soften lines and wrinkles
- Tightens, tones and lifts the skin
- Minimises pores
- Absorbs impurities
- Minimises spots
- Leaves a glow (guess it's called Glam Glow for a reason)

Glam Glow Super Mud on the other hand focuses more on your problem areas so it does the following:

- Helps breakouts/spots
- Minimises black/whiteheads
- Minimises pores
- Helps razor burns and ingrown hair bumps
- Helps skin clearing

Super Mud is the same price as Youth Mud but is smaller in size which is a little cheeky however it's much more effective on the skin. So from the moment you apply the mask on your skin, you will feel a tingle. For a split second I thought "I've just paid £40 for a product that's gonna burn my skin!" but no. It's all part of the process, so at first it tingles your skin but that's just all the natural ingredients working it's magic. The mask dries really fast, which is a bonus for me as I hate waiting. Once washed off, you instantly notice a glow and over time it makes your skin look a lot brighter and clearer. I use this 2-3 times a week only on problem areas, or areas I'm likely to breakout as it helps prevent this.

I'm going to have to warn you though...once you Glam Glow, you don't go back. And the pot finishes quite quickly therefore before you know it, you'll be um-ing and ah-ing whether or not to buy your next pot as your wallet is probably going to be a little empty but I promise you, it's totally worth it!

Glam Glow is available to purchase online from Feel Unique and £40 each for the two products mentioned above.
