OOTN | The Crochet Playsuit

Looking for a NYE outfit? Yep so am I. Since I've already worn the outfit I was saving for NYE already, oops. I haven't ordered anything from Miss Guided in a couple of years however I came across this gorge playsuit for £40 and couldn't resist.

I'm 100% more of a play suit girl than a dress girl, I think they suit my body shape best and I find them much more comfortable than dresses. The play suit overall is quite short so you have to be really careful, and you can wear a bralet underneath as it's crochet.

I teamed this outfit up with my Gold Nine West Courts, my Louis Vuitton Clutch and wore Diva by MAC. More pictures are on my Instagram, so don't forget to hit follow!

OOTD | The Colour Block Skirt

Loving Miss Selfridge at the moment! A few weeks ago I bought this camel, black and gold mini skirt for £30. I teamed it up with a Black polar neck jumper from Zara which I tucked into the skirt to create a real preppy look.

Bourjois | Rouge Edition Velvet

Left to Right: Fun-chsia, Maquillage, Hot Pepper & Red-evolution.

I had the opportunity to try out the new shades of Rouge Edition Velvet* by Bourjois, which I was so excited about as I have heard nothing but good things, plus I love a matte lip product!

Rouge Edition Velvet is a matte lipstick which offers comfort, longevity and of course a gorgeous lip colour. Matte liquid lipsticks have been a thing for a while and I really think they are the way forward and may even replace the classic matte lipstick #justayin'

The packaging is cute and matched the colour of the product, the small applicator is also great as the shape of it makes it easier to apply the colour. I like how it feels as if you don't have any product on the lips, as it dries really quickly which made my lips feel really comfortable. Unfortunately it's not magic so it will come off if you're eating/drinking or smoking shisha in my case. The colours are super bright and pigmented, and I'm loving every single colour at the moment!

For £8.99 I feel like the product could be slightly bigger in size however the colour pay off and wear makes it worth it! Out of 10? I'd give it a strong 8.

This can be purchased from either Boots, Superdrug, ASOS or Feel Unique.

Have you tried Rouge Edition Velvet? Would love to know your thoughts, leave a comment below.

Anastasia Beverly Hills | Dip Brow Pomade

It's true what they say, Anastasia Beverly Hills is the Queen of brows. Her products can do no wrong! I recently purchased the famous Dip Brow Pomade in Medium Brown from Beauty Bay as well as the Mini Duo Brush.

Dip Brow Pomade is a brow cream which helps shape brows in a natural way, giving them definition and structure. Now I'm a fan of both pencil and cream textures as I find them both easy to work with and find they give me a natural brow. It's best to use the Mini Duo Brush with this product as you have a double sided brush which allows you to apply the cream and brush the brows which I do before and after. Before, to make sure hairs are in the correct place and after to blend out the product.

The one thing I love about this is that it's waterproof and smudge-proof once it's applied and dried. As mentioned above, I got the Medium Brown as my brow hair is much darker than my natural hair colour. However it is a tad darker than I expected so I recommend to get a colour down, as you want your brows to look as natural as possible.

What are your favourite Anastasia Beverly Hills products?

OPI Infinite Shine | Raisin' The Bar

I love OPI Infinite Shine* as it really offers SHINE! It's a three step process, so you first prime your nails, you then apply the colour and last but not least finish off with the top coat which offers shine and protects your mani.

I'm rockin' Raisin the Bar which is a dark red. It's a weird shade as in the evening it almost looks burgundy however during the day it's a dark red. I actually found my mani lasting a whole 7 days after buffing my nails and following the three step process which is a first for any nail polish! Big thumbs up to OPI!

OOTN | Clara

Lace dresses are back this party season! Last season it was all about metallics and sequins, however lace, leather and suede dresses have made a comeback this year. I purchased both navy and black in the Clara midi dress from Boohoo which has a body-con fit. Click here to see the other colours.

Sally Hansen | Pat On The Black

Colour Salon Manicure by Sally Hansen is probably my favourite nail range ever because of it's quality. Quality is key to me as it's the only thing I look for; How long will my mani last? The second key thing is shine which this does, however a little help from their topcoat range is needed. Pat on the Black* is a dark plum/black. The application is easy with it's wide brush, and two coats on the nail is more than enough. I find it quite similar to OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark which I blogged about here around 2 years ago, so excuse the short badly painted nails. It's safe to say I've come a long way haha.

Rimmel | The Only One

500 Revolution Red
300 Listen Up!
800 Under My Spell
820 Oh So Wicked
620 Call Me Crazy
110 Pink a Punch
610 Cheeky Coral
510 Best of the Best

I love a good lipstick swatch I do, so when I saw Rimmel's new lipsticks The Only One* which is supposed to be the only lipstick you will ever need, I had to try it.

So introducing The Only One which promises to deliver colour, comfort, a weightless feel, moisture and longevity. Now that's a lot of benefits but everything I guess is something that's been long needed in the lipstick game. I personally love Rimmel's lipstick formula especially the Lasting Finish range as I find them super comfortable, long wearing and the colours of course are stunning.

There are 15 shades from your everyday mauves, nudes (which aren't swatched here) to your soft pinks, corals, hot pinks, purples and reds. Literally they have covered every single colour and of course every single benefit.

The formula? Well it has a blend of lightweight oils for a gliding and cushioning sensation which makes your lips feel really nice and comfortable. Almost to the point you don't realise you're wearing lipstick. The wear? I wish this would stay on longer especially whilst eating/drinking but let's face it, what lipstick do you know that stays put for hours?

I love the shade range, I think it's their strongest colour palette with so many bold colours to choose from however there are more everyday colours such as nudes and mauves in the range, I just chose to blog about the boldest shades as I cannot get enough of bold lip colours at the moment! Overall I think it's a great product from Rimmel and The Only One can be purchased from either Boots or Superdrug for £6.99.

Balayage | Before / After

Left: Me Right: my Sister

I have never coloured my hair before, not even highlights or to get rid of those random strands of grey hairs that pop up. I've always had a random weird hair colour which is different shades of brown, but after seeing lots of pictures of balayage, I was keen to get my hair done.

If you follow me on Instagram, last week you would of seen my post where I announced I was going blonde...as if! I went down to Sean Hanna in Putney and got a tone lighter than my natural colour not using any hair dye but a hair oil toner instead. If you're wondering what exactly is balayage, it's basically when you can't see where the colour ends of begins as it's blended in so naturally and beautifully! I picked up a couple of tricks from the hair colourist (check me out on Instagram for my hair colourist's details!) which were:

  • To keep hair curls/waves, simply spray your hair brush with hairspray and then brush though.
  • Always wash your hair twice in the same wash
Are you a balayage kind of girl or ombre?

What's On My Nails

I'm obsessed with painting my nails at the moment, literally I'm at a stage where I'm painting my nails 2-3 times a week. Is this normal? I'm actually obsessed with OPI* and Sally Hansen* lately, as I've been wearing these two brands only for the past 2-3 months.

My favourite colours for AW15 or 'Fall' if you're from the US are blacks, dark burgundy and of course good ol' fierce red. I don't tend to wear nudes this time of year because I much prefer bold statement colours.

Anastasia Beverly Hills | Perfect Brow

I do love a good old Anastasia Beverly Hills purchase. I recently purchased the Perfect Brow Pencil in Medium Brown as my Brow Whiz pencil ran out. Anastasia is the Queen of brows and her products are worth every penny if you're wondering is it worth the price...

The Perfect Brow Pencil slightly differs to the Brow Whiz Pencil as it has a pencil formula whereas the Brow Whiz has a consistency of a gel mixed with pencil. Both are incredibly good and can create the perfect brow no pun intended from near enough nothing. It's amazing how faint the pencil is so it just looks like natural strokes of hair. As you can see from the swatch above, it's a really faint product which doesn't look harsh. I find pencil gives you more control when defining the brows and it just gives you more control on creating the perfect shape for your face.

Trend: Berry Lips

I love mixing lipsticks to create your own lip colours. Sometimes believe it or not, from my hundreds of lipsticks I just can't always find the right tone of red or nude. So the perfect solution is to mix them as long as they are the same formula.

I mixed Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipstick in Glam Plum Fulham and Dark Night Waterl-oops!. Dark Night Waterl-oops is quite purple and Glam Plum Fulham is more of a red although the shade names can be quite misleading. I wanted a dark berry lip of course which is perfect for the season ahead So I decided to mix them. I chose the Moisture Renew range only because the formula is incredibly moisturising and mixes really well. If you want to create an ombre lip, I would definitely recommend this range.

OPI | New Additions to the Collection

Left to Right: Be There in a Prosecco, I Cannoli Wear OPI, The Thrill of Brazil, Tiramisu for Two

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you must know by now when it comes to nails I practically only wear the following colour groups; nudes, reds and darks. I got to try out a few of the newest shades from OPI's Venice Collection* and also one from their previous Brazil collections.

I'm loving these colours for the autumn/winter months ahead. Be There in a Prosecco is from the Venice Collection and is a beautiful cream nude. I Cannoli Wear OPI (love the shade names by the way!) is a lovely light grey shade, and you guys know I LOVE light grey nails. It's very similar to Sally Hansen's Greyfitti but it's slightly lighter which I love. This has to be my favourite out of the Venice Collection. Then there's Tiramisu for Two which is another nude, however this has a pink undertone which looks great on warmer skin tones. I also think if you have long nails, you can really pull this colour off. Last but not least is The Thrill of Brazil which is from OPI's Brazil Collection and of course is a bright classic red. You always need a classic red in your nail collection!

I have a few other new additions to my OPI collection, so follow me on Instagram to see them and don't forget to follow OPI on Instagram here.
