The Hair Oil You Need to Know About | Beauty

Who knew a £3.49 hair oil would be the answer most of my hair issues...

Amla Oil has been around for years. I briefly remember seeing it in my grandmas room as a child and it’s always been one of those cult products that every Asian household.

I’ve tried so many hair oil from cheap to mid to expensive products on the market, and nothing has quite helped like Amla Oil has.

Amla Oil is a natural oil used for hair health that contains extracts of the Indian Gooseberry. It’s said to stimulate hair growth and prevent hair loss and premature graying.

The color of the oil is green and has a funky but tolerable scent. I basically pop it on m hair twice a week for an hour before washing my hair 2/3 times to get the oil out. Thankfully the oil doesn’t have a thick texture, it’s actually very watery which makes it easy to put in and wash out. It’s advised to use three times a week for maximum benefits however it does warn you, by using it three times a week your hair ca get darker. Some of the customer reviews I’ve read mention their hair turning black, but it also does depend on how much you’re using. My hair is naturally brown, so I’m careful with the amount I use.

I use around 2 table spoons and massage it on my scalp and leave it for an hour as I mentioned. I’ve been using it for around 2 months now religiously (except for one week) and my hair texture feels softer and more manageable. My hair feels a lot stronger, thicker considering my natural hair texture is fine, and it’s started to grow a lot quicker. Amla Oil is said to help prevent grey hairs too, as it has some sort of staining technology (hence what I said earlier) however not gonna lie, I’m still getting them! If anyone does have any tips for those, send it my way as boy do I need tips!

Amla Oil is so affordable so it’d be a shame not to try it. If you’re Asian and you’re reading this post, go and check your parents/grandparents cupboards!

It’s available to buy from Amazon and Superdrug.

If you use this or have any tips, feel free to leave a comment below!
